Toni Richter Obituary
Toni E. Richter of Chicago, IL, was called home on November 13, 2016. She was the wife of Friedrich Richter. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2016 , at St. John's Lutheran Church, Mazeppa Township, rural Summit, SD. Rev. Nathan Zastrow will officiate.
Burial will be at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, rural Summit.
Toni was born June 3, 1923, the daughter of Georg and Emma Kenklies in Georgenburg East Prussia. She was baptized and confirmed at the Lutheran Church. After school she worked as an accountant, and in 1943 she was drafted into the German Air Force. After the war, Toni worked as a manager of an orthopedic specialist store.
In 1959, Toni came to the United States and took residence in Chicago. Here Friedrich got to know her and they were married in 1962.
The Lord blessed them with three children: Dorothy, Helga and Norbert.
Toni was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Dorothy; and her husband, Friedrich.
