Scott Wollan Obituary
Scott R. Wollan, age 52, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2017, at his residence. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 20, 2017, at Grace Lutheran Church in Watertown. Rev. Janet Miller will officiate. Music will be provided by Marcia Jellsma as organist with congregational singing. The family is requested to meet at the church on Friday by 10:30 a.m. for a prayer service.
Visitation will be at the Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service. Visitation will resume prior to services at the church on Friday.
Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Watertown. Honorary pallbearers will be all of Scott's co-workers at Smith Equipment. Active pallbearers will be: Jeff Long, Todd Landmark, Dan Brown, Chuck Schulte, Eric Aarand and David Stillson.
Scott was born on June 9, 1964, at Minneapolis, MN, to Kenneth and Joanne (Bendickson) Wollan. He graduated from Sisseton High School in 1983. Scott furthered his education by attending Alexander Vo-Tech, receiving a degree in Graphic Design. He moved to Watertown in 1989.
Scott married Tina Steiner on June 6, 1992, in Sisseton, SD. He worked at ‘Em Now, American Delta and has worked at Smith Equipment for the past 18 years.
He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and a former member of the Watertown Vintiques Car Club. Scott loved restoring old cars and trucks. He attended swap meets and the ‘Back to the 50's' car show in Minneapolis and enjoyed watching the ‘Barrett Jackson Auto Auction'. In his spare time, Scott liked landscaping and doing handy work around his home.
Scott is survived by his wife, Tina, of Watertown; his two children, Sarah Wollan and her fiancé, Dustin Eckman, of Hartford, SD, and Christopher Wollan of Watertown; two grandchildren, McKenna and Axton Eckman; his mother, Joanne, of Sisseton; and one brother, Todd (Nicolle) Wollan, of Forest Lake, MN.
He was preceded in death by his father.
