Scott Huck Obituary

After two and a half years of fighting cancer, Scott passed away surrounded by those he loved on June 27, 2020. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel. Pastor Russ Lambert will officiate. Visitation will be prior to the service on Thursday starting at 1:00 pm.

Memorial service will be live-streamed via our website. Final resting place will be in Montana. Honorary pallbearers will be: Jason Longtine, Ray Longtine, Sam Jacobson, Auston Schultz, Robert Madler, and Nick Rice. Scott was born November 18, 1973 to Dennis and Karen (Dalgarno) Huck in Helena, MT. He attended schools in East Helena and graduated from Helena High. He continued his education at Montana State University, Bozeman graduating with a degree in Industrial Management Engineering in 1997. Scott and Alana Longtine met when they were 17 and 19 and just celebrated 23 years of friendship and marriage. Their daughter Sierra is their pride and joy. They moved to Watertown on their 1 year anniversary so that he could take a manufacturing engineer position for Angus Palm. After many years, he accepted a position with Maintecx as a sales engineer. Besides his love of family, Scott enjoyed figuring out how things worked. His hobbies included: sporting clays, skeet shooting, hunting, fishing, and home improvement projects. He spent a lot of time with Sierra and the 4-H dog program, having trained his own dog as a child. Scott was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan and Ford lover. He is survived by his wife Alana, his daughter Sierra, Watertown; parents Dennis and Karen Huck, East Helena, MT; sister Sheri (Richard) Cronk, Helena, MT; Diane Longtine, Helena, MT; Dewey (Bonnie) Longtine, Ranchester, WY; Jason (Kellie) Longtine, Canyon Creek, MT; Ray (Jamie) Longtine, Lewistown, MT; and his nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Sanford Hospital, Sioux Falls, SD for guidance through this journey, Maintecx for their support and compassion, and Prairie Lakes Hospice for their kindness and care. He appreciated the support of close friends for helping Alana and Sierra when he could not. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to For the Kids South Dakota, P.O. Box 364, Watertown, SD 57201.
