Rosemary Marie Hoverstadt was born on November 4, 1954, to Albert and Hazel (Mumm) Hoverstadt in Watertown, SD. A proud graduate of Waubay High School, Rosemary furthered her education at National College in Sioux Falls, SD. Her career was as diverse as her interests, including valued positions at K-Mart, providing care and comfort at an Assisted Living facility in Florence, SD, delighting the appetites of students as a cook for Watertown Christian School, and rising before dawn to bake donuts at Casey's gas station. Each role she undertook was performed with a level of care and dedication that was unmistakably Rosemary.
Rosemary's passions extended well beyond her professional endeavors. She was a master gardener, whose hands were as comfortable nurturing the growth of flowers and vegetables as they were skillfully guiding a needle through fabric in her sewing projects. Her love for baking was not only evident in her work but also in the countless treats she shared with loved ones, each a small but meaningful act of kindness. Rosemary was a lifelong fan of the Minnesota Vikings.
Rosemary is survived by her siblings, Darlene (Dan) Meyer, of Florence, SD, Mary (Merle) Lewandowski, of Bryant, SD, Russell (Vickie) Hoverstadt, of Wallace, SD, and Darrell (Jolene) Hoverstadt, of Aberdeen, SD; nephews, Mark Hoverstadt, James Lewandowski, Allen Schanbeck, Travis Lewandowski, and Travis Schanbeck; nieces, Tasha Schanbeck, Andrea Gaul, and Rebecca Albers.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents; one brother Michael; two brothers-in-law, Jade Boettcher and Chuck Zirbel.
