Ray was born on July 10, 1977, in Webster, SD, to Lenard Jr. and Marjorie (Lauen) Starr. He attended Watertown High School in Watertown.
He had a variety of jobs but was most known for his employment at Angus Palm, Advanced Auto, and was currently working at Dakota Bodies as a material handler.
Ray was an avid car enthusiast; he enjoyed working on cars in his free time. He and his nephew, Keegan, specially enjoyed working on diesels and reconstructing Keegan’s drift car. He had a love for being outdoors and camping. His greatest love was his family, especially his nieces and nephews.
Ray had a heart of gold. He would have given a stranger the shirt off his back. His final gift on Earth was the gifts of life he provided four lucky families.
Ray is survived by his mother, Marjorie (Frank) Blais of Watertown; one sister, Heather Starr of Watertown; two brothers: Michael (Ashley) Blais, and Josh (Trisha) Blais, both of Watertown; his nieces and nephews: Keegan, Kacyn, Kayleigh, Cadin, Braxton, Lexlyn, and Reilee; and his beloved canine companion, Diesel.
Ray was preceded in death by his father, Lenard Starr Jr.
