Rachel was born June 28, 1987 in Sioux Falls, SD. She is the daughter of Craig and Julie (Nelson) Seas. Rachel grew up in Arlington, SD where she attended Arlington High School. There, she dug her roots. Rachel loved spending time with her friends and growing up with her brother Jesse. Rachel could often be found driving around town, listening to music, and singing her heart out. In the summers Rachel loved spending time at the cabin on Lake Poinsett. Boat rides with her family was one of Rachel’s favorite past times.
Following graduation Rachel attended college at Southeast Technical College and South Dakota State University. She moved back to Arlington and worked side by side with her mother, Julie at Nelson Drug. Together they attended gift shows and Rachel took pride in arranging displays for the store. Rachel loved her family and took good care of her friends. She was one to always stay in touch with her friends and to make sure they were taken care of.
Rachel also enjoyed doing counted cross stitch, reading books and the Green Bay Packers. Attending a Green Bay Packers game with Jesse was one of favorite memories. Rachel had a green thumb and her house plants were proof of that.
Being a mother to Landon was Rachel’s purpose. She loved him with her whole heart and was so proud of him. Rachel especially enjoyed watching Landon golf, perform in the Brandon Valley Choir and watch his successes of hunting deer with his Grandpa Craig.
Rachel’s sense of humor, beautiful voice and big heart will be greatly missed.
Rachel leaves behind a son, Landon Steffensen, brother, Jesse Seas parents, Craig and Julie Seas, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.
