Patricia “Patty” A. Larrabee, age 78, of Bryant, SD, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at her residence. Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 10, 2021, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Bryant, SD. Pastor Colin Beveridge will officiate. The service will be live-streamed via the Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel Facebook page.
Visitation will be at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Bryant on Friday one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, rural Lake Norden, SD.
Patty was born on December 8, 1942, in Sioux Falls, SD, to LeeRoyal and Madalene (Thompson) Hennings. She attended school in Sioux Falls, and graduated from Washington Pavillion High School. She continued her education, and received her Barbers License.
She was united in marriage to Larry Rhine, and that marriage later resolved. Patty and her children moved to Madison, SD, where Patty was employed at OK Barbershop. She married Millard Larrabee, and continued working as a barber for over 45 years between Madison, Watertown, and Hayti, SD. Patty retired in 2018 on a farm near Bryant, SD. Millard passed away on July 26, 2019, as a result of a house fire. At that time, Patty moved in with her daughter, Leona, in Bryant, SD.
Patty was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Bryant, and Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Norden, SD. She was an avid Elvis Presley fan, and loved to sing and dance. She enjoyed playing cards, baking, and spending time with her family.
Patty is survived by one son, Edward (Heather) Rhine, of Odessa, TX; three daughters: Leona (Chad) Kretzschmar, of Bryant, SD, Lucinda Larson, of Ponca City, OK, and Serena Witham, of Watertown, SD; 13 grandchildren,; 19 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Sandra Swaney, of Sioux Falls, SD.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandfather, grandson, Joshua Larson; son-in law, Scott Larson; sister, Ellen; and brother-in-law, Harold Swaney.
