Olive Ann Krause

Olive Ann Krause, 94 passed away peacefully on Friday January 17, at Edgewood Memory Care, Watertown SD. Her Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Watertown, SD.  Her family will be present to greet relatives and friends for visitation one hour before the funeral. Rev. Brad Birtell will officiate.

Interment will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.  Honorary pallbearers will be The Caring Staff at Edgewood Memory Care.  Active pallbearers will be Colin Vig, John Nathem, Brett Hillestad, Aaron Moen, Jordan Winter, and Eric Hillestad.

Olive Ann (Fuglsbo) Krause was born on December 25, 1930, to her parents Ole Fuglsbo and Carrie (Olson) Fuglsbo. She was baptized February 6, 1931, and confirmed June 24, 1945 at Nidaros Lutheran Church, Hammer SD.

Olive, along with her sister Ruth, and brother Stanley, spent her childhood growing up on a farm near Clarie City, SD. Graduating with the class of 1949, from New Effington, SD.

Olive was joined in marriage to Myron Krause on September 23, 1950 at Nidaros Lutheran Church. To this union they had four daughters. Olive and Myron spent many wonderful years, farming, dancing, playing cards, and traveling. Additional hobbies included gardening, sewing, bowling, fishing, and quilting. In 2000, they retired from farming and moved to Watertown, SD.

 Olive is survived by her daughters LaFaye (John) Panariello, Kay LaFrenz, Denise (Jeff) Vig, Jackie (Mark) Krause-Stirling, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Olive is preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, brother, son-in-law, and several nieces.

Memorials may be made to Mt. Olive Lutheran Church or your charity of choice.
