Neva L. Morrison

Neva L. Morrison, age 93, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at her residence.  Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown.  Rev. Steve Anderson will officiate.  

Visitation will be held prior to the service on Tuesday starting at 9:00 a.m.

Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Watertown.  Pallbearers will be Anjelica Uthe, Justyne Boettcher, Sever Burghardt, Donnie Zerr, Laura Hilgers, and Chris Zerr.

Neva was born on July 12, 1930, in Watertown, SD, to Irvin and Thelma (Sour) Everson.  She grew up in Hayti, SD, graduating from Hayti High school in 1948.  

On December 31, 1965, Neva married Howard L. Morrison in Watertown, SD.  The couple lived in Watertown, SD, where they started a family together.  She worked for ASCS for over thirty years before she went to work for Watertown Monuments.

Neva enjoyed many things in life, especially bowling in her younger days, golfing, reading, and walking at the mall, which she was still doing at 93.  She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her great grandbabies.  She was a charter member of Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer.  

Neva is survived by her husband, Howard, of Watertown, SD; daughters, Linda (Don) Zerr, of Fargo, ND, and Jackie (Jeff) Burghardt, of Watertown, SD; grandchildren, Donnie (Tania) Zerr, Laura (Jay) Hilgers, Chris (Marissa) Zerr, Scarlett, Erik, and Peter Korhonen, Anjelica (Tate) Uthe, Justyne (Jacob) Boettcher, and Sever Burghardt, great-grandchildren, Brodey, Jadyn, Silas, Killian, Keaton, Addie, Presley, Judd, and Ozzy, Megan (Ben) Friez and Joshua Olson; one sister, Judy Ritchie, of Hayti, SD; brothers-in-law, Bob Morrison, Bill Morrison, Sid (Mary) Morrison, and Ed (Sharon) Morrison; sisters-in-laws, Dianne Morrison, and Bev Morrison.

Neva was preceded in death by her parents; son, Rusty Korhonen; brothers, Donald (Gloria) and Bill Everson; brothers-in-law, Stan Morrison, Clyde Morrison, and Ross Ritchie.
