Obituary
Nancy M. Storey, age 73, of Watertown, SD, formerly of Davison, MI, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD. Private family services will be held in Michigan. Burial will be at Davison Cemetery in Davison, MI.
Nancy was born on February 17, 1949, to Lyle and Dorothy (Zandi) Andrus. She graduated from Davison High School in 1967, and Michigan State University in 1986, with a major in English.
On January 8, 1972, Nancy married William Storey at Davison First Baptist Church in Davison. She was devoted to her children, staying home to take care of them full time. William passed away in 1996, and Nancy moved to Virginia, where she was employed by Edward Jones. Due to health concerns, she moved to North Dakota to be closer to family. She made her home with Jeff and Kathryn and made the move to South Dakota with them.
Nancy loved crossword puzzles, knitting, movies and reading. Her greatest joy came from her family, cherishing time spent with her granddaughters, Olivia and Makenzie.
Grateful for having shared her life are her son, Jeffrey Storey of Minnetonka, MN; daughter, Kathryn Ann (Jeff) Ruggles of Watertown, SD; granddaughters: Olivia and Makenzie Ruggles of Watertown, SD; sisters: Sally (Jim) Creech of Davison, MI, and Kathy (Richard) Schalter of Cottonwood Heights, UT.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother, Paul Andrus.
