Larry Dean Crandell

Larry Dean Crandall, 75, completed his life’s journey on October 27, 2023. Born in Arlington, SD on September 9, 1948, Larry was the son of the late Raymond and Mavis (Thompson) Crandall. He graduated from Sheyenne River Academy in North Dakota, class of 1967. Larry then earned his bachelor's degree in Industrial Education from Anderson University in Berrien Springs, Michigan in 1972. Following his education, he moved to Fort Wayne, IN where he raised his daughter and worked for more than 25 years as an industrial automation technician at PHD, Inc. He was a talented artist, designing and building beautiful oak furniture and cabinets. There wasn’t anything he could not fix, a gift he often bestowed upon friends. Larry’s bellowing laughter, joyful whistling, and childhood stories will be dearly missed by his daughter, Raelene (Vernon Schierding) Crandall, grandchildren, and friends. He is also survived by his sister, Connie Crandall, and cousins. No services are being held at this time.
