Lanny Erickson Obituary
Lanny Orlando Erickson, age 75, passed away on October 24, 2020, at Meadow Lakes Acres in Watertown, SD.
Lanny was born on September 23, 1945, in Denver, CO, the only child of Ole and Cora (Wiig) Erickson.
The family moved to Minnesota in 1949.
He attended grade school in Minneapolis and moved to Willmar in 1959, graduating high school in 1964.
He attended Willmar Community College where he majored in music and art from 1965-1967.
In 1972, he moved to Watertown, SD.
Lanny was a gifted musician and played lead guitar for the Mark Larson Trio, Clembrau, Jolly Lumberjacks, Red Sterling, Emil Wiese and many others.
His music travels took him to states in the Midwest and western parts of the US.
The guitar was his best friend and music the love of his life.
Private burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN, next to his parents.
Peace be to his memory.
