Lana B. Glaim, age 75, of Watertown, SD, formerly of Lake Norden, SD, passed away Saturday evening, November 22, 2025, at the local hospital. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown. Pastor Steve Biswell will officiate.
Visitation will be at the Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown on Friday, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Burial will be at the Danish Lutheran Cemetery, rural Lake Norden, SD at a later date. Honorary Urnbearers will be Keith Namken, Kerry Namken, Jeremy Kuno, and Mason Glaim, her #1 Grandson.
Lana was born on March 26, 1950, in Lake Preston, SD, to Donald and Gloria (Nielsen) Everson and resided on a farm south of Lake Norden. She attended Lake Norden High School, graduating with the class of 1968.
On April 17, 1971, Lana married Ronald “Smiley” Glaim in Watertown, SD. The couple raised their two kids, Jodi and Jim, in Lake Norden while Lana worked as the head cook for the Hamlin School District for 28 years.
Lana enjoyed cooking, baking, bowling, golfing, sewing, playing cards, and spending time with family, especially her grandkids. Lana traveled to Rapid City with her bowling team in 1978. Lana enjoyed playing couples golf with her husband at Lake Region Golf Course. Lana and Ron moved to Watertown in 2021. Lana enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren, expressing her love for them, and bragging about them to everyone.
Lana is survived by her husband, Ron, of Watertown, SD; children, Jodi (Jeff) Lundgaard, of Watertown, SD and Jim (Crystal) Glaim, of Gilbert, AZ; grandchildren, Molli and Maci Lundgaard, of Watertown, SD, and Mason and Ella Glaim, of Gilbert, AZ; and one brother, Richard Everson, of Watertown, SD.
Lana was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Gloria Everson and sister-in-law, Judy Everson.
