Kristi L. Bronson

Kristi L. Bronson, age 53, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Prairie Lakes Hospital. Memorial visitation will be on Monday, November 20, 2023, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown, SD.

Kristi was born in De Smet, SD on June 5, 1970, to David and Sandi (Korinek) Bronson. Kristi was a graduate of Watertown High School, class of 1988. She attended SDSU and LATI for a brief time afterwards.

Her commitment to helping others led her to many fulfilling paths in life. Her endless compassion and dedication were evident in the care and love shown to her family and friends. Kristi’s journey led her to Arizona where she enjoyed the beautiful weather and endless weekends of camping and boating in the Saguaro Mountains with her daughters. Eventually she moved back to South Dakota to be closer to her family, especially her grandchildren. Kristi had a deep love for gardening and cooking. She found joy and tranquility in nature's beauty and the delicious aroma of her well-cooked meals in the evenings. She was an avid water-skier and sang her heart out every chance she got. She was the queen of Halloween costumes and made every holiday special with thoughtful gifts to her girls and special memories made. She gathered with friends and family often to celebrate everything from it being a Tuesday to the comforts of Christmas Eve.

Kristi is survived by her mother; children Hillori (Stuart) Pearson, of Summit, SD, Rhaelee Gronholz, of Orlando, FL, and Tayah Wilson, of Sioux Falls, SD; two brothers Bryan Bronson and Terry Bronson, both of Sioux Falls, SD; grandchildren, Grant, Hannah, Benjamin, and Isabella.

Kristi is preceded in death by her father, David Bronson.
