Justin D. Stanley, age 50, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at his residence in Watertown, SD. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Cornerstone Church in Watertown, SD. Pastor Mark Tracy will officiate. The funeral service will be live-streamed via Cornerstone Church website.
Visitation will be held at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. with a time of sharing at 7:00 p.m. and prior to the funeral on Friday.
Burial will be Rose Hill Cemetery in Clark, SD. Military graveside honors will be conducted by Clark County Post #60 of the American Legion and the Military Funeral Honors Team of the SD Army National Guard. Active pallbearers will be Tom Paulson, Riley Anderson, Mason Evans, Luke Smith, Shane Spooner, and Rick Hoff.
Justin was born on October 28, 1975, to Dale Stanley and Marcia (Keyes) Hamner, in Watertown, SD. Justin began his education at Clark Grade School before graduating from Watertown High School in 1994. Justin continued his studies at Mitchell Technical Institute and graduated in 1999.
Justin served in the U.S. Army National Guard from 1996 to 2004. After completing basic training and Advanced Individual Training (AIT) as a motor transport operator, he began his career with Watertown Municipal Utilities in 1999. While working as a lineman in Watertown, he remained active in the Guard and was deployed to Kuwait from 2003 to 2004 during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
In 2003, Justin married Angie Fischbach. Together, they raised two daughters, Olivia and Ashley, who were his greatest pride and joy.
Justin was happiest when he was fishing, hunting, or out on the open road on his motorcycle. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his friends and family.
Justin is survived by his two daughters; Olivia (Mason Evans) Stanley, of Watertown, SD, and Ashley (Riley Anderson) Stanley, of Watertown, SD; mother, Marcia (Rae) Hamner, of Watertown; brother, Corey (Jamie) Stanley, their children, Parker and Jasper, all of Sioux Falls, SD; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Justin was preceded in death by his father, Dale Stanley, and his grandparents, Wayne and Arlene Keyes, and Everett and Helen Stanley.
