Joyce M. Weber, age 94, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at a local care center. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 9, 2024, at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown, SD. Pastor Laura Overbo will officiate. Music will be provided by Laura Asmussen as soloist. The funeral service will be live-streamed on our website.
Visitation will be at the Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown on Sunday, December 8, 2024, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Watertown. Active pallbearers will be Brock Asmussen, Brandon Weber, Matt Weber, Greg Brown, Jesse Dirksen and Jaedon Weber.
Joyce was born on November 24, 1930, in Clontarf, MN, to Homer and Dorothy (Wade) Tiffany. She attended a country school near Benson, MN, through the eighth grade. Joyce worked a few jobs during her younger days, one specifically as a waitress where she met the love of her life, Duane.
On September 24, 1956, Joyce married Duane Weber in Benson, MN. The couple moved to Willmar, MN, for a few years and then moved to Watertown, SD, where they raised their children. Joyce had an in home daycare for many years.
Joyce collected dolls, stuffed bunnies, enjoyed watching Hallmark movies. She was always up to something around the house that kept her busy. Joyce took extreme pride in her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Joyce is survived by her children, Mark (Brenda) Weber, of Lawrence, KS, Carol (Kevin) Asmussen, of Watertown, SD, and Douglas Weber, of Sioux Falls, SD; one sister, Loretta Becker, of Mankato, MN; nine grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one great-grandson, Logan Weber; three brothers and four sisters.
