Joyce C. Christopherson, age 82, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at a local hospital.
Burial will be at Nidaros Cemetery in Hammer, SD on Saturday, June 6, 2026. After everyone is welcome to Carol’s home for tacos and family time. Please bring a chair and whatever you would like to drink.
Joyce was born on October 16, 1942, in Veblen, SD, to Clifford and Judith (Pederson) Broz. She was baptized on December 6, 1942, at the Nidaros Lutheran Church in Hammer, SD. She was confirmed June 3, 1956, at the Nidaros Lutheran and Zion Lutheran Churches in Hammer and New Effington, SD. She graduated from New Effington High School on May 20, 1960.
On January 27, 1962, Joyce married Richard D. Christopherson at St. James Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, MN. They were happily married for 52 years.
Joyce is survived by her daughter, Conny Christopherson; and three siblings: Gerald “Jerry” (Geraldine) Broz, Carol Gutzmer, and Clyde Broz.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two siblings, Clinton “Knute”(Elaine) Broz and Carmen (Sheila) Broz.
