JoAnne Marie Trenary

Celebration of Life Services for JoAnne Marie Trenary, age 75 of De Smet, will be 2:00 PM Sunday, October 27, 2024 at the Legion Hall in Erwin, SD, with visitation at 1:00 PM. Burial will be at the Erwin Cemetery. Arrangements are with Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Arlington, Lake Preston, Oldham, South Dakota.

JoAnne Marie (Hein) Trenary passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family at The Neighborhoods at Brookview in Brookings, SD at the age of 75.

JoAnne was welcomed into this world by her parents, the late Oscar & Eileen Hein on October 24, 1948 in DeSmet, SD. She was the fourth of nine children. Here she was
raised and attended school through eighth grade. She later obtained her GED in Huron, SD.

June 21, 1975, JoAnne married the love of her life, LeRoy Gene Trenary at Lake Preston, SD. Together, they raised their two children in Huron, SD.

JoAnne was a homemaker for many years. She later worked at The Plains in housekeeping, and Raven’s in Huron. They later moved to Erwin, SD. While living here, she worked at PBM
Packaging in Howard, and eventually worked and retired from United Retirement Center in Brookings. After her husband’s passing, JoAnne moved to Brookings, SD where she lived out the remainder of her time with us.

JoAnne had many joys in this life. She truly enjoyed watching westerns and cooking shows. She loved camping and being outdoors. One of her favorite past times was
sitting in the sunshine drinking her Sunkist soda. However, spending quality time with her family was her greatest joy of all!

Those who remain to cherish her memories are her daughter, Melissa (Stuart) Apland of Brookings, SD; her son, LeRoy (Debbie) Trenary of Chester, SD; 6 grandchildren:
Alysha Henderson of Ham Lake, MN; MaKaylyn, Maddie & DiLyn Borecky of Chester, SD; DeLanie & Sloane Borah of Chester, SD; 2 grandpups: Luna & Willow; 5 siblings: Judy (Ronnie) Brown of Lake Preston, SD; Donnie (Petra) Hein of Kansas City, KS; Carla (George) Stanley of Brookings, SD; Connie (Rob) Karsmizki of Manhattan, KS; Mike (Dustine) Hein of Egan, SD; 2 brothers-in-law: Jim (JoAnne) Trenary of Brookings, SD; Phil Marken of Erwin, SD; many treasured nieces, nephews, great-nieces and  great-nephews; as well as numerous good friends.

The ones awaiting her arrival to welcome her into eternal life are her beloved husband, Leroy Gene Trenary; her parents; 3 brothers: LeRoy, Roger & Ronnie Hein; both sets of
grandparents; sister-in-law, Betty Marken.
