JoAnn Moeller passed away at Avantara Lake Norden nursing home the evening of February 13, 2021. She was 86 years young and passed after her attempts to recover from Covid-19.
Private Family Memorial Services will be held at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Bryant, SD.
JoAnn was born in Estelline South Dakota in 1934 to Ed and Phoebe (Wahala) Antijunti. She was one of two children born to Ed and Phoebe, having an older brother Wallace (Duke) Antijunti. JoAnn grew up and completed high school in Lake Norden. JoAnn married Curtis Moeller in 1954 in Luverne, Minnesota, and they were married for 67 years, having two children (Scott and Roxy).) JoAnn and Curtis lived in the same house in Bryant for most of their marriage.
JoAnn loved baking, going to movies, reading her Redbook magazines, spending time with her family, holiday gatherings, and seeing her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was generous to all she met and enjoyed a good laugh or two. JoAnn also liked her occasional glass of wine. In her later years she enjoyed sitting on her deck in the evening gazing at the world. She was meticulous about cleaning her house. As kids Scott and Roxy had to dust the base boards and other cleaning chores every week. JoAnn worked in the kitchen at the Bryant nursing home for 22 years prior to retiring in 1992.
JoAnn is survived by her husband (Curtis) and her two children Scott Moeller (Cheryl) of Sioux Falls, Roxy (Dick) Margeson of Madison, two grandchildren Maggie (Dan) and Sam, her step-grand-daughter Jennifer Westall (Robert), two step-great grandchildren (Jackson and Lauren) and her great grand-daughter (Stella). JoAnn is also survived by her brother Wallace.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents.
