Jean M. Nogelmeier, age 87, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at the local hospital. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 23, 2024, at Watertown First United Methodist Church with visitation prior to the service.
Jean was born on June 6, 1937, in Henry, SD, to Glenn and Alice (Anderson) Campbell. She attended school and graduated from Florence High School. She went on to attend nursing school in Mitchell, SD.
On February 14, 1960, Jean married Darrell Nogelmeier in Florence, SD. The marriage ended in a divorce. She then married Bob Ellis in 1975 and the marriage also ended in a divorce.
Jean was a registered nurse her whole life working at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD, Memorial Hospital in Watertown, SD, and then Prairie Lakes Hospital in Watertown for over 30 years.
Jean was a member of Watertown First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing, writing, gardening, and watching her murder mystery TV shows.
Jean is survived by her daughter Susan Harms (Kevin Stulc), of Henry, SD; one sister-in-law, Marlene Campbell, of Deltona, FL; three grandchildren, Marissa Harms and her children, Thiago and Jimena Harms, Matthew Harms (Sabrina Blair), Alexander (McKenzie) Harms; nieces, Wendy (Rick) Schaefer, Brenda (Mark) Thornburg; and her cat Sami.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Robert Campbell.
