Harry E Roberts Jr, Age 62, of Clear Lake, SD, passed away on Friday, April 18th, 2025, at Edgewood Cedar View in Watertown, SD. A Celebration of Life will be at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at the Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown. Pastor Jim Uthe will officiate.
Visitation will be 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, April 29, 2025.
Harry Emil Roberts Jr was born on February 26th, 1963, in Greenock, Renfrewshire, Scotland to Harry Sr. and Carol (Casey) Roberts. He was raised in Philadelphia PA, graduating from Frankford High School.
Alongside him growing up, were his two best friends, his brothers Gary & Jimmy. Following graduation, he followed in his father’s footsteps and joined the US Navy.
Once his service was completed, he made Watertown, SD, home. That is where he met the love of his life, and was united in marriage to Connie Kluckman, on February 18th, 1995.
Watertown, SD, is also where Harry started his career as a Plumber. Hurney Plumbing Inc is where his career started, which then lead to many years with Crystal Water Systems. He completed his plumbing career with Redlinger Bros Plumbing & Heating. Plumbing was a career that Harry was passionate about, and he was always willing to help a friend or family out when needed. On his spare time, he was also a dedicated Volunteer Firefighter with the Goodwin, SD Fire Department. Harry was also a lifetime member of the Watertown VFW and the First Congregational Church in Clear Lake, SD.
Harry and Connie later welcomed their first child, a daughter named Ashley in July of 1995. Later moving to an acreage outside of Clear Lake, SD. They then welcomed a son named Steven, in July of 1997.
Harry was an upbeat individual that loved to make small talk with everyone he came across. He loved to have a great time with friends and family, and he certainly loved to make people laugh. Family was huge for him. He never missed a beat, he would be the first to call you and wish you a happy birthday! He enjoyed kicking back with an ice cold beverage and cheering on all Philadelphia sports teams; Eagles, Flyers, Phillies. Harry was an avid cook whom kept the family bellies full & happy and He always made the best chocolate chip cookies!
Harry is survived by his wife, Connie, of Clear Lake, SD; two children, Ashley (Corry) of Watertown, SD; and Steven of Clear Lake, SD; three grandchildren, Titan, Emeris, and Brixxon of Watertown, SD; step-mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ralph and Diane Kluckman, of Clear Lake, SD; mother-in-law and step-father-in-law, Bonnie and Les Ballinger, of Davis, SD; step mother, Virginia Roberts, of Watertown, SD, and many extended family members.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Sr. and Carol; two brothers, Gary and Jimmy; one uncle; both maternal and paternal grandparents.
