Gary Lee Lund

Gary L. Lund, age 78, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2024, at Riverview Nursing Home in Flandreau, SD.

A Celebration of Life visitation for Gary Lee Lund will be held on Monday, June 17, 2024, from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Johnson-Henry/Crawford Osthus Funeral Home, Arlington, SD.

A private family burial will be held following the visitation.

Gary Lee Lund was born on January 1, 1946, to Henry and Irene (Brose) Lund. Younger Gary grew up farming with his father. He graduated from Arlington High School in 1964 and was the first in his immediate family to graduate from college. Gary graduated in 1968 from SDSU with a bachelor’s degree in small animal science. He spent his life farming and raising cattle with his dad near Arlington.

Gary is survived by his nephew, Micheal (Trish) Tilly, of Wheat Ridge, CO, and his niece, Michelle Tilly, of Brookings, SD; two great nephews, Braden and Ellis Tilly; a great niece, Reese Tilly; one brother-in-law, Randy Larsen, of Arlington, SD; and special friends, Greg and Kelly Josephsen and their family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Renee Larsen, of Arlington, SD.
