Emelia “Emy” Joy Robbins was born Thursday, April 10th, 2025 at 9:48 pm to Mark and Amy (Martinell) Robbins. A wonderful surprise from the start, she weighed 15.5 ounces and was 10 inches long. Even though she was 4 months early, she fought hard and strong to stay here with us. The NICU staff where she lived were amazing “moms and dads” to her; I just prayed that I was going to be the lucky one to bring her home someday. We believe she ran into the arms of God when she arrived into heaven near midnight May 6, 2025.
In her short life, she impacted so many people bringing them together in prayer for a 22 week 1 day gestational baby. Her favorite thing to do was wiggle her hands free when she was snuggled and stretch them out. She held the tips of our fingers and kicked her feet while we changed the world’s smallest diaper. Emelia was precious and will forever be her mommy’s little girl, the reason for daddy’s soft heart, and Carbon & Elias’ beautiful little sister.
Emy will be forever loved and someone not many of us will ever forget. At the end of her precious, miraculous life her eyes were open with a perfect smile as she enjoyed the arms of her mom and dad. In Emy Joy’s memory, find something to smile about every day and make memories with those you love.
Emy was born as an imperfect baby, from imperfect parents, into an imperfect world. Jesus Christ's love and sacrifice has made her new and perfect. 2 Corinthians 5:17: "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come."
