Dorothea Farris Obituary
Dorothea M. Farris, age 87, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, at a local center. She was the widow of David Farris. Private family services will be held.
Dorothea was born on July 19, 1933, to Russel and Anna (McKee) Rich, in Torrance, CA. She attended school in California. On September 6, 1960, Dorothea was united in marriage to David Farris in Washington. They raised their children in California and Washington. While living in Seattle, WA, she was employed as a secretary at a factory. She later moved to South Dakota to be closer to her daughter.
She enjoyed knitting and took great pride in taking care of her home and her family, and enjoyed her time at home. She was a wonderful mother.
Dorothea is survived by her children: Kathy A. George (Ruel Morales) of Everett, WA, Patricia L. Flynn of CA and Daniel P. Farris of KA; six grandchildren: Tammy Flynn, Jason Flynn, Wendy Sorensen, Chris Farris, Brooks Farris and Kelly Reis; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David; her parents; her sons, Michael Steven Hornburger and Mark Steven Farris; and her daughter, Penny M. Reis.
