Doris M. Toepke

Doris M. Toepke, age 72, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2020, at a local care center. Memorial services will be at a later date due to Covid-19. Doris was born on October 26, 1949, to Fred and Dorothy (McPeek) Krueger, in Watertown, SD. She had two children, Shaylon and Nathan. . Her deep sense of loyalty to family kept her close to her mom and sisters. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas. She didn't stray far from her love of Pepsi and could be found reading the newspaper every day. Her favorite movies were Wizard of Oz and An Officer and a Gentleman. Doris enjoyed working for Terry Redlin making frames for his artwork and eventually caring for the man himself. She was a very hard working woman her entire life. She was always a giver, anything she could do to make a person's day and put a smile on their face. Doris also enjoyed shopping trips with Shaylon and spoiling her grandsons rotten. She loved Pepsi, KFC, reading, especially Danielle Steele, and watching movies. She loved shopping, the Christmas holiday, and especially her grandchildren. Doris is survived by her children, Shaylon (Steve) Moser of Watertown, SD and Nathan Steilow (Leah Knapp) of Watertown, SD; three grandchildren, Hunter and Ethan Moser and Kierra Steilow; and two brothers, Dan (Deb) Krueger of Watertown, SD and Donnie (Brenda) Krueger of Omaha, NE. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; and one brother.
