Donna Ann Kannas

Donna Ann Kannas, age 80, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at the local hospital.  Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday,  August 10, 2021, at St. Martins Lutheran Church in Watertown.  Pastor Aaron Odya will officiate.  Music will be provided by Karen Livingston as organist. 

Visitation will be at the Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown on Monday, from 5-7 p.m. 

Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Watertown.  Active pallbearers will be Mike Henrichs, Dan Henrichs,  Jeremy Kannas, Tanner Hills, Nathan Lamb,  and Devin Thompson.

Donna was born on February 16, 1941, in Watertown, SD, to Hiko and Deane (Patterson) Henrichs.  She grew up on the farm and attended country school.

On October 15, 1959, Donna married Marlyn Kannas in Watertown.  The couple made their home on the family farm where they raised two children.  She worked in manufacturing throughout her life.  Donna enjoyed gardening, playing cards, riding motorcycle, and most of all, she loved family time.

Donna is survived by her husband, Marlyn, of Watertown; one son, Kevin (Jenna) Kannas, one daughter, Roxy (John) Hills all of Watertown; grandchildren: Jeremy (Meghan Kasten) Kannas of Watertown, Nikki (Eddie) Burlison of Guffey, CO, Kirby (Nathan) Lamb of Watertown, Kelsie (Devin Thompson) Hills of Watertown, and Tanner (Lindsey) Hills of Watertown; great-grandchildren: Maylee, Tayson and Marin; brothers: Daniel Henrichs of Watertown, Michael (Linda) Henrichs of South Shore, SD; sisters: Doris (Don) Riley of Watertown, Wanda (Harlan) Maag of Florence, SD, Beverly (Marlin) Heathcote of Florence, and Janet (Keith) Maag of ND;  brothers-in-law: Bob Maag of Florence, sisters-in-law: Arlone Kannas and Carol Henrichs, both of Watertown.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Hiko and Deane Henrichs, her sisters: Mona Mitchell, Rita Faughn and Wendy Maag; parents-in-law, Levi and Emma Kannas; brother-in-laws; Norman (Valorie) Kannas, Dale (Lucille) Kannas, and Verlon Kannas; sisters-in-law: Delores (Lloyd) Stark, and June (Ray) Linderer.
