Donald Henry Fedt

Donald (Donnie) Henry Fedt, age 76, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Avantara in Watertown.  Memorial services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Bryant.  Rev. Gary Anderson will officiate.  Music will be provided by Deb Anderson as organist.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Garfield Cemetery at 18860 437th Ave., Bryant, SD 57221.

Visitation will be at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Bryant on Saturday from 9-10 a.m.

Burial will be at the Garfield Cemetery in rural Bryant.  Active Urnbearers will be Michael Fedt and Sean Fedt.

Donnie was born on April 5, 1947, in Watertown, SD, to Clarence and Hilda (Jurgens) Fedt.  He attended school at the Dixon Rural School until it closed, and then he attended school in Bryant.  Donald then went to college in Sioux Falls. 

Following college Donnie worked at a packing house in Sioux Falls before moving to Minneapolis, MN working for a carpet company.  He moved back to Bryant to help his dad on the family farm.  Donald and his brother Lyle bought the Bryant Lounge in the 1980’s where he worked until the early 2000’s.  He moved to Watertown when his health started to decline. 

Donnie enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing softball, and watching western shows.

Donnie is survived by his brother Richard Fedt (Mary Decker); nieces and nephews Charles (Rose) Fedt, Rob (LaWanda) Fedt, Tami (Bert) Magstadt, and Hope Schultz; four great nieces, four great nephews, and several great great nieces and nephews; special friends Vickie Morris and Linda Walkins. 

Donnie is preceded in death by his parents; brother Lyle; and sister-in-law Sandra.
