There are lives that define the meaning of home, lives built upon devotion, steadfast care, and the quiet strength of a loving heart. Diane’s was such a life.
She lived for her family, creating a haven of warmth and comfort, a place where love was constant and laughter was shared. Through every season whether times of joy or trial, she offered her wisdom, her wit, and her unyielding presence. Her care knew no bounds. A day was never complete without her call. A check-in, a word of love, a reminder that she was there.
Diane’s thoughtfulness reached everyone she loved. No birthday passed unnoticed, no accomplishment went uncelebrated. She found joy in the success and happiness of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and she took deep pride in the family she helped shape.
Diane shared a lifetime of cherished memories with her first love, John Hanson, with whom she raised two beloved daughters, Kimberly and Melody. They will continue to carry her legacy forward with the same grace, resilience, and love she instilled in them.
Beyond her family, Diane shared a treasured 31-year friendship with her very special companion, Leroy Bullis. Together they created a lifetime of memories, days filled with music, laughter, and the joy of travel.
Those who knew her will remember her brilliant blue eyes, a shade so rare and full of light, radiating warmth, reassurance, and a sense of home.
Diane leaves behind her beloved sister, Dixie (Rod) Swoboda; two daughters, Kim Hanson and Melody (Mark) Kerkvliet, four grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
