Debora “Debbie” A. Jants, age 65, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at the local hospital. Visitation will be at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown on Wednesday December 15, 2021 from 1-2 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Kent Stillson will officiate. The service will be live-streamed via the Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel website.
Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Watertown. Active pallbearers will be: Darwin Hogan Jr., Terry Nelson, Charlie Koistinen, Dion Koistinen, James Gower and Rob Anderson. Honorary pallbearers will be Debbie’s grandchildren and her many nieces and nephews.
Debbie was born April 8, 1956, in Douglas, AZ, to Darwin and Rosezella (Lambrechts) Hogan Sr. She attended school in South Dakota and California.
On July 31, 1982, Debbie married Todd Jants in Watertown, SD. She held many jobs throughout the years which included cooking, waitressing and being a cashier. She even received a customer service award for working with the public. She was currently employed at Roadside Gas.
Debbie loved riding motorcycle with Todd, and attending the Sturgis Bike Rally. Her children and grandchildren were her prize possession. In her downtime, Debbie enjoyed watching her favorite tv shows, playing online games, trying new recipes and spending time with family and friends. Taking her grandkids camping was her favorite thing to do in the summer.
Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Todd, of Watertown; her children: Tonya (James) Gower, and Jerica Floyd (Rob Anderson), both of Watertown; grandchildren: Adrian Jants, Zeppelin Floyd, and Hendrix Floyd; her father, Darwin Hogan of Florence, SD; brother: Darwin “Bub” Hogan Jr. (Michelle Kelliher), of Watertown; sisters: Valerie Daily, of Watertown, Bonnie (Robin) Moe, of Summit, SD, Melinda (Terry) Nelson, of Watertown, Michelle (Charlie) Koistinen of Lake Norden, SD, and Diana Clay, of Watertown.
Debbie was preceded in death by her son, Darrel Todd Jants, her mother Rosezella Hogan and many aunts and uncles.
