Dean Kieso Obituary
Dean E. Kieso, age 84, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at his residence in Watertown. A Celebration of Life will be from 1:00 -5 :00 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 611 11th St NW, Kieso Klean Shop across from the Bramble Park Zoo. The family kindly request that guest wear pink attire in honor of Dean and Doreen’s wedding color.
Dean was born on February 21, 1942, to Edward and Bernice (Waite) Kieso in Watertown, SD. He attended school in Watertown. Following his education Dean worked several jobs throughout his life including Minnesota Rubber, truck driver, maintenance, and he owned car lots.
Dean was a member of the Harvest Baptist Church in Watertown. He loved rummage sales in his younger years. Dean had a passion for antiques, enjoyed family gatherings, loved watching Watertown Arrow Wrestling, playing card games, and was an adamant Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Twins fan.
Dean is survived by his wife of sixty seven years, Doreen (Beynon) Kieso; children, Mike (Lisa) Kieso, Rick Kieso, Danny (Gina) Kieso, and Dee (Darin) Stange, all of Watertown; eleven grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Bernice; and five brothers, Jack, Jim, Curt, Randy, and Larry.
