Our family and staff at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel wish you peace and love this holiday season. We know that the process of adjusting to life without a loved one goes on long after the service is over. We understand the unique and ongoing challenges you might face, and this holiday season is no exception. The world around us is preparing for the holidays, and society encourages us to join in the “Christmas Spirit”. However, this time of year can bring pain and sadness to those of us who are grieving the loss of someone we love.

This season, we cordially invite your family to our Holiday Service of Remembrance at the De Smet Community Center Theatre on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at 2:00 p.m.  This service will also be Live-Streamed via the Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel Facebook page. This service is designed for families to remember their loved ones in a special way, and to offer comfort, as well as a time for reflection. We will have a service led by a local minister, special music, and a video tribute honoring those who have passed.

Our angel tree will be shining bright, each angel representing a loved one lost during this past year. Your family will be gifted one angel ornament with your loved one’s name to take home at this time. Fellowship and refreshments will follow the service.

It has been requested by families to include an order form for additional angel ornaments ($20.00 each). By ordering in advance, we can ensure that you will take them home at the time of the service.

Please note that you are the only recipient of this letter and invitation in your family. We kindly ask you to communicate this event with your relatives before mailing back the included postcard by November 22, 2021, to let us know if your family will be in attendance and the number of any additional angel ornaments. Alternatively, you may confirm your attendance by calling (605)882-1516. We hope that you will be able to attend this special event, but if you have a conflict, please inform our staff, and we will make arrangements for you to receive your angel.
