Daniel Gene Doescher

Daniel Gene Doescher, age 69, of Badger, SD, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2026, at his residence in Badger.  

Celebration of Life Service will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Arlington, officiating will be Pastor Brian Ricke. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to service time at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery.

Daniel was born August 12, 1956, in Volga, SD to Lucy and Tim Doescher. He grew up on a farm Northeast of Arlington. He attended and graduated from Arlington High School.

Dan enjoyed softball, golf, bowling, hunting, fishing and riding his Harley. Dan was a member of the Badger Volunteer Fire Department.

In 1983 he was united in marriage with Kim Linneman. From that marriage they had two children. Danielle Munson (Jamie), of Slayton, MN, and Dylan Doescher, of Sioux Falls, SD. They were his world.

Dan was a truck driver most of his life. He always boasted of having seven million miles under his belt. Twenty-six years at Coast- to Coast. Sixteen years at Moeller Truck Service and most recently at Thorstenson Trucking.

Dan was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Arlington.

Dan was number two of six other siblings. Roxy Larson, Mitchell, SD, Don (Lori) Volga, SD, David of Arlington, Ruth Vincent of Badger, SD, Doug, Arnie of Arlington.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents Lucille and Gene Robert Doescher and sister Rebecca Doescher.
