Clifton F. Zeeck

Clifton F. Zeeck, age 95, of Arlington, SD, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at United Living Community in Brookings.  Funeral Services will be  at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at Johnson-Henry Funeral Home in Arlington. Pastor Seth Moan will officiate.

Visitation will be at Johnson-Henry Funeral Home in Arlington on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. and prior to services on Wednesday at the chapel.

Interment will be in the North Preston Lutheran Cemetery.  

Clifton was born June 30, 1928 in Sioux Falls, to Carl and Delta (Hook) Zeeck, he grew up Iroquois area before moving with his parents to a farm in Lake Preston. Clifton lived most of his younger years in Lake Preston before his marriage to Kathleen then they moved to Arlington, SD.

He married Kathleen Heibult on June 18, 1966 in Sioux Falls, SD. After moved to Arlington then he started driving truck hauling many crops to the elevator, also drove over to Minneapolis taking items over there.

Clifton enjoyed hunting and fishing, he was also into race car driving in his younger years, drove on the tracks in Madison and Hartford. Clifton enjoyed being outside working in his garden, his great love was mowing the grass.

Clifton is survived by his son, Scott (Heather) Zeeck Arlington; two daughters, Janice Cromwell Arlington, Norma Royer Brookings; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Clifton was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Kathleen; daughter, Carol Perry,; grandson, Jared Elvik,; brother, Loyal Zeeck; son-in-laws, Kenny Cromwell, Dean Royer.
