Clark John Adams, age 73, of Watertown SD passed away Friday, October 27th, 2023.  Visitation will be at the Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown on Thursday, November 2nd from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.  The funeral service will be held Friday, November 3rd at 11:00 AM at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. Pallbearers will be Eric Adams, Devon Adams, Tim Woodard, Rod Iverson, John Stonebarger and Dan Schotte.

Clark was born on January 22nd, 1950, in Watertown to John and Vernell Adams. He graduated from Watertown High School and Northwestern Technical College in Minneapolis.

He met his future wife Bonny Jahn in Minneapolis and they were married on August 11th, 1973.  In 1977 they moved to Watertown where Clark taught at Lake Area Technical College, worked at OSI and later Spartan Manufacturing where he retired in September of 2022.

Clark had a technical side as he could fix almost anything electronic. His last job at Spartan Manufacturing consisted of looking though a microscope to solder the tiny transistor chips that run most (if not all) of our daily products (cell phones, TV’s, medical equipment). He was proud of the importance of this work and would keep a small transistor in his wallet to show people how small the items were that he repaired each day.

Clark was also a gifted musician and vocalist. He played bass guitar for several bands in the area and thoroughly loved anything musical. He also possessed a singing voice that he shared with the various bands and the Glacial Lakes Harmonizers (a barbershop choir in the Watertown area).  In addition to this, Clark was a ham radio operator, storm watcher and a member of the Lake Area Radio Klub (WOWTN) in Watertown.

Clark was a large man with a large personality and loved his family and friends deeply. He is survived by his son Eric and grandson Devon of Sioux Falls, brother Bruce of Sioux Falls, sister Charlotte of Sioux City, IA and brother Kelly (Therese) Adams of Manhattan KS, and several nieces and nephews.

Clark was preceded in death by his wife, Bonny, both his parents and a nephew, Jonathan.
