Bonnie Sue Wollschlager, age 62, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Prairie Lakes Healthcare. Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 27, 2023, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Watertown. Father Richard Fox is the celebrant. Music will be provided by Danielle Holmquist-Holida as organist with Deb Schroeder as song leader. The Memorial Mass will be live streamed via our website.
Visitation will be at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Watertown on Monday from 9-11a.m.
Bonnie was born on December 28, 1960, in Milbank, SD, to James and Rose Ann (Adelman) Wollschlager. She graduated from Grant-Deuel High School, Class of ‘79, and then obtained a degree from Watertown Business University.
Bonnie serviced her community with several jobs including Jenkins Living Center, Human Service Agency, IC School, Dakota Tube for 15 years and most recently Hy-Vee. She was an avid Minnesota Twins and Vikings fan, enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune, Price is Right, and Game Show Network. Her favorite color was purple and she found passion in playing cards and board games, Bonnie also took pride in her travels and adventures, with her “kid at heart” soul. Bonnie spent countless hours attending and cheering for her nieces’ and nephews’ in whatever events they participated in. She also made the time to show she cared by being there for those she loved and worked to brighten others’ lives with always having a helping hand open.
Bonnie is survived by five sisters: Cindy (Tom) Schuelke of Nassau, MN; Lisa Cozad of Watertown, SD; Nancy (Steve) Schlageter of Cornell, WI; Janet Wollschlager of Watertown, SD; and Kathy (Brad) Folk of Milbank, SD; three brothers Tom Wollschlager of Strandburg, SD; Ben Wollschlager of Big Stone City, MN; and Doug (Renae) Wollschlager of Revillo, SD; a dear friend, ReNae Schussler; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews and three special god daughters.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, and her grandparents.
