Beverly Miller Obituary
Beverly J. Miller, age 79, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at a local care facility.
Beverly “Bev” was born October 11, 1946, in Sioux Falls, SD, to Frank and Gertrude Van Hyfte. She graduated from Sioux Falls Washington and Augustana University.
Bev’s teaching journey brought her to Watertown. She began teaching at McKinley elementary, before moving on to Garfield and Mellette. She retired from Mellette Elementary school.
Bev thoroughly enjoyed retirement. She spent many hours working on her various crafting projects. She had many adventures riding her bike to the library to check out a stack of books. Meeting with her current and retired teacher friends also brought her much happiness.
Bev is survived by her two children, Lance of Watertown and Emily of Fargo, ND.
Bev was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, parents and brother.
The family would like to thank Prairie Lakes Hospice and Jenkins Living Center for all the compassionate and loving care they provided.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
