Audrey J. Scott

Audrey J. Scott, age 64, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at her residence.  Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 5, 2023, at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown.  Pastor Jim Shroll will officiate.  Music will be provided by Amy Schmidt as Soloist. The family is requested to meet at the chapel on Friday by 10:00 a.m. for a prayer service. The funeral service will be live streamed via our website.

Visitation will be at the Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. and prior to services at the chapel on Friday.

Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Watertown. Honorary pallbearers will be Ann Murfield, 2nd Street Co-workers, Premier Bank Card Co-workers and Rod and Sherri Kemink.  Active pallbearers will be Jay Schmidt, Al Schmidt, Jim Bunde and Tim Bunker.

Audrey was born on June 17, 1958, in Watertown, SD, to Charles N. and Ann M. (Schiernbeck) Cordell.  She attended Loveland, CO high school and then worked various jobs in Colorado.  She lived in Nevada for a while before returning to Watertown, SD.  Audrey then worked at Larson Doors and various other jobs before going to work at Premier Bank Card and waitressing at 2nd Street Station. In 2008 her health forced her to retire.

On May 10, 2003, Audrey married Kerry Scott in Castlewood, SD.  Audrey enjoyed stock car racing and NASCAR, cooking, baking, and visiting with her sisters and her friends.

Audrey is survived by her husband, Kerry, of Watertown; two daughters, Karista Sorenson, Watertown, Lydia (Kurt) Hauf, Bismarck, ND; three sons, Kody (Stephanie) Scott, West Fargo, ND, Kasey Scott, Quinn, SD, Logan (Tia) Scott, Watertown; six sisters, Mary M. (Dale) Tesch, Watertown, SD, Laretta Kranz, Goodwin, SD, Barb Weber, Watertown, SD, Anna Mae (Mike) Griffith, Loveland, CO, Veronica (Jerry) Brown, Loveland, CO, Rosaline (Louie) Finch, Loveland, CO; two brothers, Frank (Geneva) Cordell, Watertown, SD, Vincent (Sharon) Cordell, Castlewood, SD, mother in law, Janet Scott, Watertown, SD; two sister in laws, Karla Comrie, Rapid City, SD,  Fran Cordell, Sterling, CO; and thirteen grandchildren.

Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Charles E. Cordell, one sister, Florence Cordell, father/mother in laws, Merwin (Leona) Scott, four brothers in law, Kenneth Scott, Kevin Scott, Brian Kranz and Carl Weber.

Audrey prefers anyone in attendance to dress in blue jean and race shirts.
