On February 28, 1998, Shane married his dear wife, Helen Baker, in Hayti, SD. They lived together in rural Hazel and continued living there for all of their married life. Shane worked in construction until settling into farm work. He was blessed to have spent the past 19 years farming with his friends, Myron Kuhlman and Brad Jensen, in rural Hazel.
Shane loved spending time with Helen and their children. They enjoyed taking day trips to explore the surrounding areas. His family and the farm were the loves of his life. He was very proud of all his children. He was the best daddy and grandpa. We are so blessed and thankful to have had him as ours. He had a special way of keeping in touch with old friends and his brothers. He will be missed by many.
