Patricia Schulz Obituary
Patricia J. Schulz, age 81, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at a local care center.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 10, 2019, at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Watertown.
Pastor Iver Possehl will officiate.
Music will be provided by Sharon Falk as organist.
The family is requested to meet at the church by 10:30 a.m. for a prayer service. Visitation will be prior to services at the church on Monday beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Mt. Hope Cemetery at a later date.
Honorary urnbearers will be all of Pat's grandchildren, her great-grandchild and her great-great-grandchild. Patricia was born on April 27, 1938, in Milbank, SD, to Vernon and Ruby (Smogaard) Klucas.
She was raised and attended grade school in Dawson, MN, until she was a sophomore in High School.
Her family then moved to Watertown, SD, where she graduated from Watertown High School in 1957.
On October 27, 1957, shortly after her High School graduation, Pat married Ruben Schulz at Grace Lutheran Church in Watertown, SD.
She worked for several restaurants as a waitress until 1970.
The couple had two children, Rick and Robin.
Once the children were old enough to attend school, Pat became a cook at the Watertown Jr. High School, where she worked for 30 years until retirement. Pat was a very active member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church and was an LWML member for many years.
She was also a member of the Red Hats.
Pat had a love for flowers and enjoyed working in her flower beds.
She was an animal lover, specifically cats and dogs.
Pat always put everyone before herself. Pat is survived by her husband, Ruben of Watertown, SD; her children, Rick (Wendy) Schulz and Robin (Keith) Engebretson, of Watertown, SD; three grandchildren: James Erickson of Beulah, WY, and Scott Schulz and Tom Schulz, both of Watertown, SD; her great-grandchild, Taylor Erickson of Watertown, SD; her great-great-grandchild, Xavier Rudebusch of Watertown, SD; and her brother, James "Jim" Klucas of Del Rio, TX. Pat was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Robert and Ronald Klucas.
