Myrna Snow Obituary
Myrna Rae (Mrs. William) Snow, age 82, of Watertown, SD, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at her residence. After battling cancer, she was healed when the Lord took her home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Watertown. Rev. Iver Possehl will officiate. Music will be provided by Paula Hulscher with congregational singing. The family is requested to meet by 9:30 a.m. at the church on Wednesday.
Visitation will be at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. and prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be the "Tuesday Work Group". Active pallbearers will be Myrna's grandsons: Josh Snow, Dean Snow, Brent Snow, Ben Snow, Jacob Lenz, Isaac Snow and Caleb Sullivan.
Myrna was born on July 20, 1936, to Albert and Elsie (Eggert) Rasmussen, in Howard, SD. She was a 1954 graduate of Howard High School. Myrna attended Lab and X-Ray Training in Minneapolis, MN.
On September 22, 1956, Myrna was united in marriage to William Snow in Howard. They lived in Brookings, SD, where she worked at the Municipal Hospital. She and Bill lived in numerous communities and various states before moving to Watertown in 1973 and have lived here since.
Myrna was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Mt. Olive LWML, the Garden Club, 4-H Club, Extension Club, Watertown Senior Activities Center and the Promenader's Square Dance Club. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels and the Banquet. Myrna enjoyed arts, crafts, sewing, and gardening. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Myrna is survived by her husband, William, of Watertown, SD; her children: Scott (Debra) Snow of Wichita, KS, Curtis (Julie) Snow of Berlin, WI, Richard (Valorie) Snow of Seward, NE, Gregory (Connie) Snow of Chaska, MN, Deanne (Karl) Sullivan of Sioux Falls, SD; 19 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald (Jenny) Rasmussen of Howard, SD; and one sister, Helen (Jerald) Sprecher of Howard, SD.
She was preceded in death by her parents and various other family members.
