He attended grade school and high school in Wilmot and graduated in 1974.

While attending school, Jerry was involved in music and band.

He played piano, guitar and the baritone.

He also sang at many weddings and funerals for family and friends.

On September 10, 1977, Jerry was united in marriage to Cindy Reyelts in Wilmot, SD.

They were blessed with two daughters and one son.

They resided in Wilmot for one year and then moved to Watertown, SD, where they resided for the past 40 years.

After moving to Watertown, Jerry continued his life long career as a meat cutter at Spies & Jubilee grocery stores, the Butcher Shoppe and most currently at Hy-Vee for the past 15 years. Jerry enjoyed cooking, traveling, dancing, country music, camping, and boating.

Most of all, he loved spending time with his loving wife, his children and grandchildren.

He was a family man. His ultimate goal was keeping them secure and happy!

One of the greatest joys in his life was becoming a grandparent.

He was a member of the St. Martin's Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife Cynthia "Cindy" Ruedebusch, of Watertown, SD, three children, Alyssa (Justin) Christensen of Hartford, SD, Andrea (Greg) Eden of Lennox, SD, and Brent (Brandy) Ruedebusch of Watertown, SD; four grandchildren: Madison and Carson Eden and Taylor and Connor Christensen; and two sisters, Verdean Vreim of Milbank, SD, and Carol (Leon) Theye of Wilmot, SD.
