Gerald F. Briggs, age 77, of Apache Junction, AZ, formerly the Florence, SD, area passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2019, in Apache Junction.
Memorial Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2019 , at the Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown,SD.
Pastor Steve Biswell will officiate.
The family is requested to meet at the chapel by 1:30 p.m. for a prayer service.
Visitation will take place prior to memorial services at the chapel. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Watertown.
Gerald Francis Briggs was born June 20, 1941, in Watertown, SD, to Donald and Lois Briggs of rural Florence, SD. He farmed around Florence, SD, with his dad. He moved to Holbrook, AZ, where he owned a motel and then a bar. He retired and moved to Apache Junction, AZ, where he was currently living. He passed away at home January 22, 2019. He is survived by his two daughters,
Kristi Briggs of Apache Junction, AZ, and Kandi Keith of Watertown, SD; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Donna Giese and her husband Bob Giese. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Kelly Briggs.
