Carla Boyd Obituary
Carla M. (Mrs. Robert "Bob") Boyd, age 53, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at the local hospital. Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel. Rev. Bill Boyd will officiate.
The family is requested to meet at the chapel by 1:00 p.m. for a family prayer service.
Visitation will be at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel on Monday from 5-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will also be prior to the service on Tuesday.
Carla was born on August 3, 1965, to Quentin "Tiky" and Carol (Bishop) Amble, in Rolette, ND. She was a graduate of Watford High School in Watford, ND. After attending college, Carla was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Boyd on August 30, 2003, in Grassy Butte, ND. The couple moved to Watertown where Carla worked at Gas-N-Goodies and then at Sr. Max's as a cook until her health forced her to retire.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Moose Lodge in Williston, ND. Carla loved the Minnesota Vikings. She enjoyed camping, playing sand volleyball and softball. Carla's friends were family to her and she loved them all along with her nieces and nephews. Bob said she had the prettiest smile in the world and he will always cherish his baby girl! Bob extends a deep appreciation of thanks to all of their friends for everything they have helped with in the last year.
Carla is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob" Boyd of Watertown, SD; her mother, Carol (Elias) Hoffart of Grassy Butte, ND; her brothers: Steve (Judee) Amble of Douglas, WY, Brian Amble (Joette Tracy) of Williston, ND and Kent (Jessica) Amble of Sioux Falls, SD and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Quentin Amble.
