Verna Dahl Obituary
Verna M. Dahl, age 85, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2017, at a local care center in Watertown.
Visitation will be at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, with a prayer service at 12:00 p.m.
Pastor Scott Dempster will lead the prayer service.
Verna was born November 22, 1931.
In 1962, Verna married Maurice Dahl, combining two families into one.
In 1970, Verna moved to Watertown, SD.
She worked at Quadee since the company first opened and continued to for 24 years.
She loved animals although she was never able to have any of her own.
Verna enjoyed trips to the local J C Penney store.
Most of all, Verna looked forward to and always cherished time with her children and grandchildren.
Verna is survived by her children: Craig (Shannon) Kuemper of Watertown, Kevin Kuemper of Minneapolis, MN, Jim (Vicki) Dahl of Watertown, Debbie Lybert of Burley, ID, and Christine Gravatt of Tulsa, OK; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Verna was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Phillip Kuemper; one daughter, Elizabeth Johnston; two brothers and two sisters.
