PLEASE NOTE THE VISITATION LOCATION:
Karen M. Trumm, age 58, of Hayti, SD, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2017, at her residence in Hayti.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at the Hayti Lutheran Church in Hayti.
Pastor Randy Eisenbeisz will officiate.
Music will be provided by Erin Stevenson as organist with Amber Smith as soloist.
The family is requested to meet at the church on Wednesday by 10 a.m. for a prayer service.
Visitation will be at the Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. and prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
Burial will be at Pleasant View Cemetery in Hayti, SD.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wade Jorgenson, Kevin Peterson, Dale Storhaug, Jayme Trumm, Michael Braden and all of Karen's friends and family.
Active Pallbearers will be Cody Trumm, Matthew Braden, Joseph Kirk, Taylor Hershman, Kevin Braden and Greg Trombley.
Karen was born on May 8, 1959, in Wyandotte, Michigan, to Roger and June (Frank) Trombley.
Her family moved to California where she graduated from High School in 1977.
On August 4, 1979, Karen married Stanley L. Trumm in Garden Grove, California.
In 1992, the couple moved to Hayti.
She began working at Perkins in Watertown and then for the Fleeger family.
Karen then began working at Premier Bank Card in the collections department where she worked for several years.
She was a member of the Hayti Lutheran Church.
She loved playing ping-pong, cooking, baking and having friends over.
Everywhere Karen went, she became a friend to everyone around.
Karen's greatest love was watching and attending her children's events and spending time with her grandchildren.
Karen is survived by her children: Tiffany (Wade) Jorgenson of Hayti, SD, Cody (Jayme) Trumm of Watertown, SD, Samantha (Joseph) Kirk of Rapid City, SD, and Cheyenne (Taylor) Hershman of Sioux Falls, SD; seven grandchildren: Chace, Quinn, Dexter, Jeter, Alison, Jade and Haddie; her brother, Gregory Trombley, of Hayti, SD; and her sister in law, Jan (Kevin) Braden, of Omaha, NE.
Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley, on November 21, 2004; her parents; and her in-laws, Alma and Lowell Trumm.
