Joey Decker Obituary
Joey Decker, age 65, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at a local care center. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at the Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown. Pastor Scott Dempster will officiate. Music will be provided by Steve and Kathryn Ferguson. The family is requested to meet at the chapel on Wednesday by 2:00 p.m. for a prayer service.
Visitation will be at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. and prior to services on Wednesday.
Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Watertown. Honorary pallbearers will be all of Joey's cousins. Active pallbearers will be: Deb Christenson, Dean Christenson, Sid Schnabel and Julie West.
Joey was born on February 12, 1952, to Joseph and Arlene (Schnabel) Decker, in Aberdeen, SD.
He attended Watertown High School and worked through the HSA program in Watertown. He loved to collect comic books and baseball caps. Playing cards and games with his family was a favorite thing to do. Joey had an amazing sense of humor. He was a friend to anyone whom he ever met. He loved attending all of the local parades and watching classic TV shows.
Joey is survived by his mother, Arlene Decker, and his sister, Jolene Decker, both of Watertown, SD.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph.
